Dr. Holt was born in Rochester, NY on March 4, 1855. He graduated from the University of Rochester in 1875 and then went on to study at the University of Buffalo Medical College. He then transferred to the College of Physicians and Surgeons, graduating in 1880. He published three books and over 150 papers.
