Five documents relating the the running and finances of the Shepaug Market in Washington Depot by Randolph Johnson, the owner and president of the buisness. 2009.30.4.A: Annual financial report for the year of 1965, dated December 31, 1965. Report was put together by "Meyerhans Leidel & Co. Accountants & Auditors," a Waterbury firm. A recipt of some sort is paperclipped to the cover. Inside are three copies on tissue paper of the same report. Net profit for the year was $16,620.65. 2009.30.4.B: Anual financial report for the year of 1957, dated December 31, 1957. Report was put together by "Alfred F. Meyerhans and Associates Public Accountants and Auditors," a Waterbury firm. Inside is a single copy of the report. Net profit for the year was $7,705.50. Also inside is a free floating copy of the same report which has a "Financial Statement for Woodbury Savings Banck" filled out and signed by Randolph Johnson attatched by staples to it. 2009.30.4.C: Annual financial report for the year of 1957, dated December 31, 1957. Report was put together by "Alfred F. Meyerhans and Associates Public Accountants and Auditors," a Waterbury firm. Inside is a single copy of the report. Net profit for the year was $7,705.50. 2009.30.4.D: A copy of a letter by Randolph Johnson to some buisness or firm which he did buisness with. In the letter Randolph states that he has incoporated the Shepaug Market and that future bills should be sent to "'Shepaug Market, Inc., Main Street, Washington Depot, Connecticut'." The letter is dated October 1, 1973. 2009.30.4.E: A drawing and despcription of the Washington Stories Inc., a proposed "Centrally Located Store Site." The building was proposed by the Washington Redevelopment Agency, based in Washington Depot, and formed in response to the damages done by the 1955 flood. The proposed building would be 9,991 square feet and about $10,990 to construct. The building would be located on CT route 47, have free parking, and include space for 5 buisnesses. Randolph Johnson's Shepaug Market would take one of these spaces. |
