A binder book of the hardcopy transcripts (268 pages) of Robert de Courcy's interviews. It is apart of s series of oral history interviews conducted by Sean deCourcy (Robert deCourcy's grandson) during the summer of 2008. These interviews record the life of Robert (Bob) Lorenz de Courcy, born in Darien, CT in 1914, in his own words. Robert de Courcy and his wife, Helen Seeley, moved to Washington in 1949 to manage his father-in-laws business, the Washington Supply Company. These interviews include Robert's early years in Darien, CT during the Great Depression, Hamilton College, the War Years and Helen Seeley, the Washington Supply Company, the Lions Club, the Flood of 1955, The Cold War Era, Steep Rock Land Trust, family life and raising three sons in Washington, CT, Washington Ambulance Association, old age. The interviews are accompanied by photos. Donation includes 20 cds. |
