The object is a small porcelain pitcher with a light blue background and two white panels on either side with raised gold trim. The first panel depicts a young infant; the image also bears the signature "M.E. Mullings". The second panel depicts several purple and white violets. The pitcher's handle, lip and bottom are also gilded in gold.
