1998.14.1 - Sign, Identification
A sandwich board sign for the Masons. A blue sign with G:. M:. H:. Trestle Board on a banner, gold crown and sun and crescent moon over the banner. Under it a scroll with Rising Sun No. 27 and other symbols: Greek key, doric columns, angled pediment, 3 stacked blocks. There is a hole in the scroll that may have originally had an attachment.

Civil War curved sword in metal scabbard. Grip of leather & cord. Has been plated with silver. Stamped with maker's mark and "CONN. 1862". Also handle is marked "111." Hung at the entrance of Rising Sun #27 Masonic Hall for the Tyler Office.
