    Oak memento block from the Hollister Homestead on Nettleton Hollow Rd, Washington CT. A round piece of brass is centrally located in the block. Inscribed in black ink on the top: "Oak from the /Hollister House/ built/ 1777/by Capt. Gideon Hollister/ now occupied by/ Samuel l. Hollister" Inscribed on the left side in black ink: "Made ca. 1900 when/ house was repaired/ or changed ." "MHD gave/ this to / AHL 1975"

    Britannia teakettle with handle. Britannia is a pewter-type alloy composed mostly of tin. Kettle has round base ridged band 3/4 down. Handle is screwed to top sides and bends to either sides where it meets attached metal stops. Lid is hinged with balled knob at center. Spout is squared where it attaches to body.

The cuff is trimmed with a double row of lace and two satin covered buttons. Down the upper back of the dress is a row of satin covered buttons. Two piece dress, sheer over satin slip.

    Ancestry fan chart of Samuel L. Hollister and Amelia and Julia Nettleton. Fan is hand etched in black and blue ink with a border of family names.     Cast iron bootjack in the shape of a beetle. The Beetle has large red eyes, antennae that act to remove boots, black body with six legs. The legs are in descending height from front to back putting the bootjack at an incline. The end of the body has a hole for hanging.
