Description |
Large, oval, china platter from the Holiday House. The platter was made by Alfred Meakin and has a floral patter along the raised outer portion. Both the central portion and the raised outer portion of the plate have been discolored, and there are cracks in the porcelain on both portions of the plate. The back has the maker's mark, "Royal Semi-Porcelain, Alfred Meakin, England." The number 1 has been stamped into the back of the platter. There are cracks in the porcelain along the bottom of the platter. There are six areas where adhesive had been applied to the platter and has remained. There is also an area where white paint for an object ID had been previously applied. |
