Description |
A baby scale from Washington's town doctor's, Dr. Frederic Wersebe, house at 13 Wykeham Road in Washington, CT made by Fairbanks Scales, model #11484, with the following parts: A. Body of pink metal balance scale with a place for a metal cradle on one end and the place to hang various weights on the other end, with a sliding scale from 0 - 2 lbs. in between. There is a logo on the base with the manufacturer's name on a globe. Underneath the base is stamped "Feb 16 1937" and embossed "HT1A" B. Removable pink metal cradle where the infant being weighed would be placed. There is a piece attached on the underside used to secure the cradle to the scale. C. Weight holder with a hook to attach to the scale. "KV18" is embossed on it. D.10 lb. metal weight used with C., with 4 indents, 2 of which are stained brown. E.10 lb. metal weight used with C., with 2 indents, 1 of which is stained brown. F. 5 lb. metal weight used with C., with 2 indents stained brown. G. 5 lb. metal weight used with C., with 4 indents, 1 of which is stained brown. H. 2 lb. metal weight used with C., with 3 indents, 1 of which is stained beige. I. 1 lb. metal weight used with C., with 7 indents, 1 of which is stained brown. |
