Description |
American (Sioux) Indian doll ,male, named "Iron Lightening"; dressed in Native costume. Cloth doll, leather head with black bead eyes beneath slits, protruding nose, red bead mouth. Brown hair, center stitched , braided at both sides. Cloth body with leather hands. Clothing is authentic Sioux costume of fringed buckskin tunic and leggings - white, beaded at the neck of the tunic, outer sides of the pant legs, around the bottom of the pant legs. Bead colors are: blue, yellow, red, and green. High moccasins with blue beading. No maker's mark. Label attached reads: "'Iron Lightning' /Made by/ Susan-Her-Tracks/ Authentic Sioux Costume/ of tanned Buckskin." |
