Postcard of the Loomarwick Inn on West Shore Road in New Preston, CT and Lake Waramaug. This western view from the driveway of the inn shows a few people standing next to the driveway and on the porch, with numerous trees scattered throughout the front lawn of the inn. Printed on the back of the card: Published by The Loomarwick and printed by the Albertype Co. Brooklyn, NY. This black and white used postcard has a postmark of 6am, August 23, 1928, New Preston, Conn. The postcard is addressed to: "Mrs. Margaret Hoff, Monsey, New York", with this message written in ink: "We are stopping at this place for a week. Bridge, tennis, dancing, canoeing, and bathing make up the program here. Harry and Ted". |
