Mrs. May Cogswell of New Preston's white doily with white flower embroidery and pink border as given to Margaret 'Peggy' Lundeen by her house maid Hattie Smith. Inscription on box donated in (box discarded): "Some of Mrs. Cogswell's fancy pieces for you, Peggy." Howard and May Cogswell and Hattie (Harriet) Smith resided on Church Street, New Preston. All were members of the New Preston Congregational Church. |
