Description |
1786 Connecticut copper penny, very worn; Date visible; design in center & words around edge barely visible. The donor, a math teacher at The Gunnery, and amateur archeologist, found this coin in the excavation site for the new driveway behind the Gunn Museum during the summer of 1993. The site, over the brow of the hill, was used as the house's dump. |
