    Heavy, cast iron water kettle with cover. Body is of round form enhanced with an encircling ridge at mid-section. Base has a projection for insertion in a stove top hole. Spout is short and notched. The wire handle, held by rounded "ears", is open-spiraled in the center. Its domed cover is hinged (the handle serves to hold the hinge) and bears the raised mark of the maker: "ERIE".
