Description |
Sepia toned photograph of Henry W. Woodruff's residence, a Greek Revival style house at 14 Titus Road in Washington Depot, CT. There are men and women in the foreground, three standing trees, and a tree cut into long logs. A barn stands to the far right behind the house. The back part of the residence has 2.5 stories, gable roof, single chimney, two visible doors, and windows (6 over 6) with shutters. The front section of the home is two story with two chimneys a slightly pitched roof, front and side door, and 6 over 6 windows without shutters. Note there is a massive iron fence lining the driveway, and only one post still stands today. In pencil on back: "1882 Woodruff house/ Washington Depot, Conn." Stamped in purple on back is the photographer's name: "Smales." |
