Description |
Black and white real photo postcard of the house at 2 North Sawyer Hill Road in the village of Marbledale in Washington, Connecticut. The dirt road on the right is New Milford Turnpike (Rt. 202) looking east. Toward the center of the image in the distance behind some trees is another house at 278 New Milford Turnpike (Rt. 202). On the back of the postcard there is a round postmark: "MARBLE DALE CONN. AUG 15 1913". Located in the top right corner next to the round stamp, is a green U.S. postage stamp with a drawing of the bust of George Washington. On the left hand side of the postcard in the correspondence section, handwritten in pencil states: "From Elizabeth (nit?)". On the right hand side of the postcard in the Address Only section, handwritten in pencil, states: "Mrs Emily Maclay(?) Cornwall - on - Hudson - N.Y c/o TW. Weeks". |
