Description |
Wooden smoothing plane (no blade) which is usually the last plane used on a wood surface and removes wood in strips. The throat may be adjusted for a tight opening so as to allow only a very fine shaving to reduce tear-out of the grain to a minimum. One edge is longer than the other to form a corner. |
