Description |
William Lawrence Peck's World War One WWI U.S. Marines Corps Good Conduct Medal. The round bronze metal has the words "United States Marine Corps Semper Fidelis" and the image of a soldier with an artillery gun on the front. On the back perimeter are the words: "Fidelity, Zeal and Obedience" and engraved in the center: "No. 11111 Willaim L. Peck First Enlistment 1917-1920" The medal is attached to a red ribbon with a single blue strip down the center. There is a bronze bar at the top of the ribbon that reads: "U.S. Marine Corps" and a bronze rifle at the bottom of the ribbon. The Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal was established on July 20, 1896. |
