    Washington, Connecticut resident William Lawrence Peck's World War One WWI purple heart medal on a purple ribbon with white edging. The medal is heart shaped with a purple interior and a gold profile of George Washington on the front. There is also a white shield with three stars above two red bars on the top front of the heart. The back of the heart reads: "For Military Merit William L. Peck".
