Small blue and white cosmetic jar (a) with lid (b). Cow on lid with the words: Veritable Moulle de Boeuf/L. T. Piver/10 Bouleve de Strasbourg/PARIS/and Regent Street 100 London. Lid sides decorated with repeated leaf pattern and clover insert. Jar decorated on the exterior with rural scenes: cows grazing, shepard, building along river bank, bridge and a bolder marked: L. T. Piver Parfumene a Paris. Mark on bottom: two gargoyles enclosing "LM & C IE". "Creil et Montereau" above, "Porccelopaque" below. |
