    Sampler made by Amaryllis Gunn [later Amarylis (Gunn) Canfield], the sister of Frederick Gunn, on cotton fabric using silk thread. Two alphabets are at the top followed by a row of numbers, then "Amaryllis Gunn Samp/wrought by her in the sum/mer of 1821 Agt 9 years", then in a blue outlined box center bottom " Mrs. E. Moseley/Instructress" and at the bottom "Washington." There are flowers on either side of the box.

    Linen sampler embroidered by Mary Wakeman (Gold) Brinsmade when she was a child. Letters A through Z of the alphabet are embroidered with black thread in upper case on the top section.
