Color photograph of the Gunn Historical Museum's commemoration of the sesquicentennial (150th anniversary) of the Civil War in 2011. This photograph was taken by the donor, Jane Boyer, at the outdoor ceremony and living history encampment on May 1, 2011 at the opening reception of the Gunn Museum's Civil War exhibit "Letters from the Battlefield: Stories of Washington's Civil War Soldiers" at 5 Wykeham Road in Washington, CT. The photograph shows Lewis Dube, portraying President Abraham Lincoln, speaking at the lecturn, and Martin Spring portraying his aid, standing to his left, framed by American flags. There are three different size printed copies of the same photograph. |
