Description |
Blue and white plate. The center decorated with a landscape scene (oriental motifs) with three buildings, mountains and a fenced garden. Garden contains bamboo, rosebuds, four daisy-like flowers, chrysanthemum, and two possible garden structures. Repeated fruit, flower and leaf pattern interspersed with four medallions framing birds perched on flowering branches around the flattened edge. Border at the rim. The #44 and WEDGWOOD impressed on the back, also an "X" in underglaze blue. |
